Nicolas Cayouette is a bilingual partner in Gowling WLG's Montréal office. He has been a member of the firm's Infrastructure and Construction & Engineering groups since 2007. Nicolas’ practice focuses on alternative mode and collaborative projects, partnerships and P3s as well as matters related to infrastructure, construction, litigation and the environment. With his unique background combining engineering (a Bachelor's in Mechanical Engineering from Polytechnique Montréal) and law, he is a strategic asset to any file involving complex technical issues, such as developing, designing or implementing major projects. Nicolas has experience advising both public bodies and private corporations on various subjects regarding the development and design of major infrastructure, buildings, mechanical and structural components, specifically in the areas of energy and construction. Recognized for his ability to work within multidisciplinary teams, Nicolas regularly collaborates with consulting engineering firms, experts, lawyers and accountants among others, to ensure that all technical aspects are accurately and adequately presented in the prepared and submitted materials.
