As a partner in the Litigation Group, Nicolas focuses on civil litigation, with particular expertise in complex technical cases requiring sophisticated evidence and expert testimony. Known for his attentive listening and deep understanding of clients’ needs, Nicolas leverages experience in strategic counselling to develop innovative approaches and deliver practical, swift solutions to disputes. Much of his practice is devoted to health law, serving as counsel for physicians through the Canadian Medical Protective Association (CMPA) in a broad range of civil and disciplinary matters. The human dimension of this work aligns with his core values. Nicolas also has substantial experience in environmental litigation, having represented clients in major cases involving soil and groundwater contamination, as well as significant nuisance claims. Within the firm, Nicolas is an active mentor and plays a key role in recruiting emerging talent. Since 2021, he has been consecutively elected to the Board of Directors of the Barreau de Québec, where he serves as First Councillor. His community involvement includes serving as an ex officio Board Member of the Club de ski Stoneham, and as an ambassador for the Canadian Cancer Society (2020–2022) and Vide ta sacoche (2022–2023).
