Paul-Matthieu Grondin is a member of the Barreau du Québec and practises in Montreal. He cofounded Grondin Savarese in 2008, where he focuses today on labour and employment law, with particular emphasis on employment termination negotiations on behalf of executives, upper management and long-tenured employees. Mr. Grondin has also served as counsel for the Parliament of Canada, contributed to federal and provincial public inquiries, namely in the context of independent commissions of inquiry involving members of the judiciary. He holds a Bachelor of Laws from the Université de Sherbrooke and a Juris Doctor from Queen’s University. He has remained actively involved in legal education and professional development, frequently invited to speak at universities and professional organizations in Canada and abroad. From 2017 to 2021, Mr. Grondin was elected as Bâtonnier du Québec, becoming the youngest individual to hold this position in the history of the Barreau and of Quebec’s professional orders. He is also the author of over 100 commentaries on labour law jurisprudence, in the form of blog posts.
