Peter A. Saad

Peter A. Saad is known for his legal acumen and strong business proficiency, enabling him to provide his clients with practical strategic solutions. After graduating from the University of Toronto’s Juris Doctor Program, and earning an MBA, Peter began his career in Capital Markets at Shearman & Sterling LLP in New York, where he was involved in over $50 billion in financing transactions, including two of the largest global mergers and acquisitions deals in the coal sector: the Peabody takeover for US$4.7 billion, and the Arch Coal acquisition for US$3.4 billion. In 2013, he founded Saad Law, which quickly became a leading name in mergers & acquisition transactions in the healthcare space and established an active bank finance practice. Peter is a leading voice in healthcare transactional law as a trusted advisor to regulated healthcare professionals and corporations. His first completed transaction in his career was a US$1-billion bond offering for Walgreen Co. Today, he provides advice on diagnostic facilities, medical clinic facilities, optometry, pharmacy and dentistry practice acquisitions and divestitures, corporate structuring and financing across Canada. Peter sits on the Board of Directors of two charities, and is an active mentor and youth counsellor at his church.
