Prachi Shah

Senior counsel at Clyde & Co Montreal’s office, Prachi practises in insurance law and civil litigation. Fluent in French and in English, she advises foreign and domestic insurers, does insurance coverage opinion work and monitors claims against Canadian insureds in various jurisdictions with respect to E&O, professional liability/indemnity, D&O, CGL, abuse, cyber and property insurance policies. In her litigation practice, she has represented not only insurers but various professionals and companies, including IT firms, manufacturers, non-profit and religious organizations, and directors and officers before the Quebec and Ontario courts. Prachi has been tracking tech-related emerging risks for years. She writes and gives presentations on these issues (particularly the internet of things, AI and cyber risks), notably to the insurance industry and its clients. She also reviews climate-related risks for the insurance industry. She is in Clyde & Co's North American Emerging Risks pool.
