Rick Van Beselaere has over 40 years’ experience in commercial law, real estate, financing, insolvency, restructuring, bankruptcy, and debtor-creditor law. Rick is one of Saskatchewan’s most experienced counsel in business reorganization and restructuring law. He is very experienced in credit enforcement and security realization, including security enforcement, foreclosures, receiverships, bankruptcies, CCAA, negotiating and drafting forbearance agreements and priority agreements, assessing priority disputes, and all nature of financing transactions. He has experience in environmental law and compliance, and in environmental offset credit generation, aggregating and trading. He was retained by the Saskatchewan Ministry of Environment to advise and consult on its climate change legislation and regulations. Rick acted as Saskatchewan counsel on several P3 projects. He has experience in project financing and with differing project delivery methods. He is recognized by The Canadian Legal Lexpert Directory and The Best Lawyers in Canada for Insolvency & Financial Restructuring Law, Corporate Law and Project Finance Law.
