Acts as counsel for hospitals and their staff, retirement communities, and long-term-care homes in matters such as crisis and risk management; statutory interpretation and compliance; administrative and regulatory matters; privacy, disclosure, and management of patient/resident complaints; policy development and implementation; residential tenancy disputes; bylaw revision and interpretation; and consent and capacity issues. Also manages complex medical malpractice actions on behalf of hospitals. Member of Medico-Legal Society of Toronto. Former sessional instructor, Health Law in Practice, University of Windsor Law School, 2009–10 and 2010–11.
