Rory has a diverse range of litigation experience. His marine and transportation practice has involved multimodal cargo transport, environmental claims, collisions, derailments, and groundings. He regularly handles insurance coverage, defence and subrogation matters, construction deficiencies and professional liability claims, while his general litigation experience has included class actions, fraud actions, D&O actions, contractual disputes, defamation claims, environmental and municipal law matters. Rory has appeared before the Supreme Court of Canada, and various levels of court in Ontario, and Newfoundland and Labrador. He is a member of the Law Society of Ontario, the Law Society of Newfoundland and Labrador, and the Ontario Bar Association, and has an Osgoode Hall Law School Certificate in Construction Law. Before starting his firm, Rory was a partner at a prominent Toronto litigation firm, and formerly practised litigation at leading, full service firms in Ontario and in Atlantic Canada. Rory has a Masters of Laws from University College London, University of London, a LLB from the University of New Brunswick, and a BA from McGill University.
