Sam Chapman

Sam Chapman is a partner in the Capital Markets Group at Cassels. Sam’s practice is transaction based, involving all aspects of corporate and securities law, with an emphasis on advising public companies involved in M&A transactions, business combination transactions and corporate finance transactions (including takeover bids and going public transactions). In addition to transactional work, Sam advises public companies on their day-to-day securities compliance, disclosure and corporate governance matters and Canadian stock exchange issues. Sam advises public companies across industries, however, the focus of Sam’s practice is on the mining and resource sector. Sam advises mining clients at every stage of development. Sam has completed the Osgoode Certificate in Mining Law. He is ranked by Best Lawyers: Ones to Watch for his work in Mergers & Acquisitions and Securities Law. Sam was called to the British Columbia bar in 2018.
