Sam specializes in corporate and tax law. He counsels clients on mergers and acquisitions, corporate reorganizations and matters related to investment funds. Over his long career, Sam has become a close adviser to many high-net-worth families. He works closely with their offices in Canada, the United States, England and Israel. Sam is a director of Reitmans (Canada) Limited and of several private companies. A dedicated community leader, Sam is past president and member of the Board of Governors of the Sir Mortimer B. Davis Jewish General Hospital Corporation, and a past member of McGill University’s Board of Governors. He has lectured on taxation at McGill University and on various issues at the Canadian Tax Foundation, the International Fiscal Association and at numerous seminars.
