Sara J. Erskine is a founding partner at BE Law LLP. Sara’s practice is focused on commercial disputes, bankruptcy and insolvency, receiverships, proceedings under the Companies’ Creditors Arrangement Act (CCAA), securities law, labour and employment law, administrative law, constitutional law and class action litigation. Sara’s commercial litigation cases include multi-jurisdictional corporate fraud (SFC Litigation Trust v. Chan), receiverships (Haunert-Faga v. Caprara), CCAA proceedings (Re Universal Settlements International Inc.), shareholder disputes and oppression. Sara has appeared as counsel before all levels of court in Ontario and the Supreme Court of Canada. She also regularly represents clients before regulatory tribunals including the Ontario Securities Commission, Investment Industry Regulatory Organization of Canada (IIROC) and a broad range of professional disciplinary tribunals.
