Saul works closely with Indigenous leaders and entrepreneurs to design and implement commercial ventures grounded in Indigenous worldviews. He has broad experience in Aboriginal law; regulatory matters involving forestry, fisheries, mining, oil and gas, and renewable energy; on- and off-reserve real estate development and leasing; and corporate/commercial law. Saul helps build resilient partnerships between industry and Indigenous Nations, advising both on effective collaboration and how to navigate Canada’s Aboriginal and environmental law frameworks. He also counsels Indigenous communities on the protection and advancement of Aboriginal and Treaty rights, as well as governance and business matters. Saul was called to the bar of British Columbia in 2015 and, in 2023, completed the Principles of Ownership, Control, Access, and Possession (OCAP) course on First Nations data sovereignty through the First Nations Information Governance Centre. He is recognized by The Best Lawyers in Canada for Aboriginal Law/Indigenous practice and by The Canadian Legal Lexpert Directory in Aboriginal Law. Saul is of Coast Salish & European descent and is a member of the Squamish Nation.
