Shelagh Carnegie is a partner in Gowling WLG’s Intellectual Property Group. Toronto-based, she focuses her practice on all aspects of the trademark prosecution lifecycle. Former co-head of the firm’s Global IP group, she works with colleagues in Canada, China, France, Germany, the UK, the UAE and other locales to strengthen the firm's offerings across all areas of IP law – including prosecution, enforcement, litigation and transactional work. Shelagh’s practice focuses on trademarks and she has extensive experience helping local and international clients clear, protect, commercialize and enforce their trademark rights at home and abroad. She has provided bespoke solutions to companies across an array of industries, including alcohol, automotive, cannabis, clothing, food and beverage, consumer products, manufacturing, medical devices, professional services, social media and tech.
