National Bank’s Dominic Paradis has added to his responsibilities and taken on the new designation of executive vice-president and general counsel, enterprise technology and resilience.
Paradis assumes the new mantle on January 1, 2026. The chief technology officer will report to Paradis on technology governance, cybersecurity and infrastructure matters.
Paradis has been with National Bank for nearly 23 years, having started his tenure in 2003 per LinkedIn. He was senior vice-president, legal affairs and corporate secretary in December 2024 before his promotion to the senior leadership team as executive vice-president and general counsel. He assumed that role on March 1, which saw him report directly to president and CEO Laurent Ferreira.
Paradis’ current role change is in line with other changes to National Bank’s senior leadership team.
Executive vice-president of personal banking and client experience, Lucie Blanchet, is retiring from the position to become strategic advisor to the CEO; in this role she will advise on strategic projects. She has been with the bank for 23 years.
Executive vice-president of information technology and operations, Julie Lévesque, will be the new executive vice-president of personal banking. She has over 25 years of IT experience and will supervise the personal and commercial banking division’s technology and operations strategy.
Executive vice president of wealth management Nancy Paquet will manage National Bank’s investment distribution network and insurance activities. Both functions were under personal banking before.
Executive vice-president of capital markets Étienne Dubuc will oversee the National Bank Independent Network, which used to be under the wealth management function. In this role, she will leverage trading capabilities, market data and investment solutions across multiple strategies and asset classes as well as supervise the technology and operations strategy for capital markets and wealth management.
National Bank confirmed that the leadership changes would not affect its financial reporting at this point.
