First Majestic completes bought-deal private placement

On May 12, 2016, First Majestic Silver Corp. completed a brokered private-placement offering on a bought-deal basis, of 5,250,900 common shares (including 684,900 common shares issued pursuant to the exercise in full of an over-allotment option), at a price of $10.95 per common share for gross proceeds of approximately $57.5 million.

The syndicate of underwriters for the offering was co-led by Cormark Securities Inc. and BMO Capital Markets and included Desjardins Securities Inc., National Bank Financial Inc. and TD Securities Inc.

First Majestic was advised in Canada by McCullough O’Connor Irwin LLP with a team led by James Beeby that included Meaghan McCune (securities) and Bahar Hafizi (banking). Mexican counsel to First Majestic was Fernando Todd Dip with the participation of Jorge Garcia Díaz of Todd y Associados, S.C. In the United States, First Majestic was represented by Daniel Miller of Dorsey & Whitney LLP.
