Bank of Montreal Issues Floating Rate Notes

The Bank of Montreal issued US$570 million floating rate deposit notes due on September 24, 2007, pursuant to its US$5 billion Euro medium term note programme. The deal closed on September 24, 2003. The lead manager for the offering was Bank of Montreal, London Branch, and included underwriters, BNP Paribas, Goldman Sachs International, HSBC Bank plc, Lehman Brothers International (Europe), Merrill Lynch International and Morgan Stanley & Co. International Limited.

Bank of Montreal was represented by in-house counsel Brian Philbrook, and by Osler, Hoskin & Harcourt LLP, with a team that included Robert Yalden and Rick Fullerton. The managers were represented by Ogilvy Renault, with a team that included Peter Noble and Susan Mann (corporate) and Barry Segal (tax).
