Blue Moon Metals Inc. acquired the Nussir copper-gold-silver project in Norway and the NSG copper-zinc-gold-silver project in Norway through the acquisition of the Norwegian companies Nussir ASA and Nye Sulitjelma Gruver AS.
The transaction included a concurrent $30 million brokered private placement equity financing co-led by Cormark Securities Inc. and Scotiabank on behalf of a syndicate of investment dealers including National Bank Financial Inc., Haywood Securities Inc., Raymond James Ltd. and CIBC World Markets Inc.
As part of the financing, Blue Moon welcomed strategic investors Hartree Partners LP, Leonhard Nilsen & Sønner AS and Wheaton Precious Metals Corp., which, together, subscribed for over 50 percent of the total units sold under the first tranche of the financing. Blue Moon also entered into a long-term offtake agreement with Hartree for Nussir project concentrate production.
