On January 6, 2025, Bureau Veritas, a world leader in testing, inspection and certification, completed the €$360-million sale of its food testing business to Mérieux NutriSciences. This transaction forms part of a broader agreement between the two companies, covering Bureau Veritas’s global food laboratory testing operations, which include microbiological and chemical analysis as well as molecular testing.
This sale represents a significant step in the ongoing collaboration between Bureau Veritas and Mérieux NutriSciences, with further announcements expected as additional acquisitions are completed in other regions, including 22 laboratories across Africa, Asia-Pacific and Latin America.
