Callaway Golf Acquires Top-Flite Gold Co.

On September 15, 2003, Carlsbad, California-headquartered Callaway Golf Co. completed the court-approved acquisition of the Top-Flite Golf Co. and its foreign subsidiaries, including its Canadian subsidiary, Top-Flite Canada Inc., for US$169.294 million.

Callaway Golf was represented in Canada by Blake, Cassels & Graydon LLP, with a team that included Daryl Clark, Chris Gear and Rebecca Wickens (corporate), Bill Maclagan (tax) and Randy Kaardal and Abdul-Basit Khan (labour and employment); and in the US by Gibson, Dunn & Crutcher LLP, with a team led by Thomas Magill and Eric Nelson in Irvine, California.
