Cheung Kong Infrastructure

Stuart Energy Systems Inc. (Stuart Energy) announced on August 22, 2000 that it had reached an agreement with Cheung Kong Infrastructure (Holdings) Limited (CKI) of Hong Kong to form a commercial joint venture in connection with hydrogen fuel equipment sales and service in Australasia. The purpose of the new entity, Stuart CKI Corporation, is to distribute Stuart products and enable CKI to implement a hydrogen fuel infrastructure for the coming generation of hydrogen fuel cell vehicles in the territory of Australasia.

Simon Romano, Jennifer Legge and Roberta Carano of Stikeman Elliott’s Toronto office represented CKI. Randy MacEwan, Bill Charnetski, Andrew Spence and Tamara Kronis of Torys represented Stuart Energy.

Stuart has also filed a prospectus in connection with its initial public offering. Representing Stuart in the IPO is Torys with Michael Akkawi, Catherine Forbes and Michael Choiselat of the Toronto office and Richard Willoughby and Lee Hirsch of the New York office working on the file.
