CIBC Completes Issuance of US$1B Aggregate Principal Amount of 2.350% Senior Notes

On December 7, 2010, Canadian Imperial Bank of Commerce completed the offer and sale of US$1 billion aggregate principal amount of 2.350 per cent Senior Notes due December 11, 2015.

The Notes were offered using CIBC's US$8 billion base shelf prospectus platform pursuant to a shelf registration statement filed with the US Securities and Exchange Commission and a short form base shelf prospectus filed with the Ontario Securities Commission using the Canada/US multi-jurisdictional disclosure system. The offering was made through a syndicate of underwriters led by Barclays Capital Inc., Citigroup Global Markets Inc., CIBC World Markets Corp. and J.P. Morgan Securities LLC, as joint book-running managers and included Credit Suisse Securities (USA) LLC, Deutsche Bank Securities Inc., Goldman, Sachs & Co., HSBC Securities (USA) Inc., Morgan Stanley & Co. Incorporated, UBS Securities LLC and Wells Fargo Securities, LLC.
