Dorel Industries Closes Cross-Border Bank Financing

On March 31, 2003, Montreal-based Dorel Industries Inc. and members of the Dorel group of companies completed a US$250 million cross-border financing with a syndicate of U.S. and Canadian lenders led by Royal Bank of Canada, as administrative agent, with RBC Capital Markets Inc. as arranger.

Dorel was represented in Canada, by Ken Atlas and Claudette Bellemare of Heenan Blaikie LLP in Montreal; in the U.S., by Bruce Weisenthal, Sean Maloney and Robert Cloninger of Schiff Hardin & Waite in Chicago; and in France, by Jérôme Gertler, Frédéric Poli and Cyrille Behaghel of HSD Ernst & Young in Paris.
