HSBC Bank Places Debentures

On June 13, 2002, HSBC Bank Canada privately placed $100 million of fixed-floating subordinated series A debentures due June 14, 2012. The offering was completed on a bought deal basis by a syndicate of underwriters led by TD Securities Inc. and HSBC Securities (Canada) Inc.

HSBC Bank Canada was represented by Borden Ladner Gervais LLP, with a team that included Neil de Gelder, Q.C., and Warren Learmonth (securities) and Don Bird, Debra Sing, Q.C., Ambrose Sung and Warren Wilson, Q.C.
