Intertape Polymer Raises $79M Through Offering

On March 1, 2002, Montreal-based Intertape Polymer Group Inc. raised just over $79 million through a bought deal offering of 5.1 million common shares to a group of underwriters led by HSBC Securities (Canada) Inc. Intertape Polymer, a manufacturer and seller of plastic and paper-based packaging products and systems for industrial and retail use, has plants in 20 North American and European locations.

Intertape Polymer was represented by Stikeman Elliott, with a team led Michael Richards, Jean Marc Huot, Robert Carelli and Jason Streicher in Montreal. The underwriters were represented by Fasken Martineau DuMoulin LLP, with a team comprised of Maurice Forget and Frédéric Cotnoir (corporate finance/securities) in Montreal.
