Olymel Acquires Premium Brands' Fresh Pork Division

On April 17, 2001, Olymel SEC acquired the assets comprising the fresh pork division of Premium Brands Inc. in Red Deer, Alberta for $73 million plus working capital. The transaction represents Premium Brands’ exit from the fresh pork business to focus on processed foods.
