Chicago-headquartered SSA Global Technologies, Inc. acquired Chicago-headquartered Ironside Technologies, Inc. on June 18, 2003. The transaction was structured as an amalgamation of Ironside with a wholly owned subsidiary of SSA, with a subsequent redemption of securities of the amalgamated corporation owned by former Ironside shareholders.
