TELUS Corp. announces it will acquire Lionbridge AI

On Nov. 6, TELUS Corp. announced it will acquire Lionbridge AI for $1.2 billion. Under the acquisition, Lionbridge AI will become part of TELUS International as TELUS Corp. intends to make its international division a public company. The transaction enables TELUS International to expand its service offering to include data labelling and annotation as well as bring in new clients.

TELUS Corp. is a Canadian telecommunications company focusing on providing telecommunications products and services including access to internet, voice, entertainment, healthcare and video.

Lionbridge AI is a translation and localization company focused on improving the ability of artificial intelligence systems to recognize images, video, audio and text.
