TransAlta to Sell Alberta Electricity Transmission Network to AltaLink

TransAlta Utilities Corporation announced on July 4, 2001 an agreement to sell its Alberta electricity transmission network for approximately $850 million to AltaLink, a consortium comprised of SNC-Lavalin Energy, Trans-Elect Inc., the Ontario Teachers’ Pension Plan and Macquarie North America Ltd.
