Wolseley Canada Acquires Nuroc Plumbing & Heating Supplies

Wolseley Canada Inc., a wholly owned subsidiary of Wolseley plc, acquired Toronto-based Nuroc Plumbing & Heating Supplies Ltd. on August 1, 2003. The transactions’s purchase price is confidential. Wolseley plc is a specialist trade distributor of plumbing, heating and building product, with worldwide sales in excess of US$13 billion. Nuroc specializes in the sale and distribution of plumbing, heating, industrial and related products.

Wolseley was represented by Stikeman Elliott LLP, with a team that included John Leopold, Michel GĂ©linas, Gayle Noble and Paul Plamondon (corporate), Derek Chiasson (tax) and Eveline Poirier (employment) in Montreal, and Samantha Horn and Nathalie Mercure (corporate), Paul Collins (competition) and Chris Hanson (real estate) in Toronto.
