Anne practises in the areas of environmental law, climate change law, energy law, mining law and Aboriginal law. She also advises clients on corporate social responsibility (CSR) matters, as well as lobbying and ethics. Anne has extensive experience in assisting clients at all stages of project development, including regulatory and zoning approvals, environmental assessments, as well as acquisition of land rights. She regularly works with clients in the transportation sector, particularly in the transportation by pipeline of oil and gas and rail transportation. She advises on regulatory compliance matters regarding climate change laws and in the context of transactions involving greenhouse gas emission units and environmental attributes. Anne also assists clients in the private sector on matters pertaining to consultation and negotiation with Aboriginal people. Anne also acts for the public sector in matters regarding Aboriginal and treaty rights. She assisted the Government of Canada in negotiations with the Crees of Northern Québec which led to an historic New Relationship Agreement regarding treaty implementation, an out-of-court settlement and self-governance. Anne has also delivered executive-level and government training courses on CSR law both in Canada and Africa.
