David is recognized as a leading banking lawyer by The Canadian Legal Lexpert® Directory, Euromoney’s Guide to the World’s Leading Banking Lawyers, The Best Lawyers in Canada and IFLR 1000 and has also been recognized by Chambers Global. David has consistently represented North American and overseas financial institutions and debtors in complex domestic and cross-border syndicated lending transactions. He has also been involved in several debt restructurings representing both creditors and debtors. Recent lending transactions include representation of: Nuvo Pharmaceuticals acquisition financing of its purchase of Aralez Pharmaceuticals’ Canadian business and certain US assets; Royal Bank of Canada’s provision of a $1 billion credit facility to bcIMC; and syndicate of lenders led by The Toronto-Dominion Bank in the financing of Teranet affiliate, CM Solutions’ acquisition of D+H Collateral Management from Finastra. David has co-authored a number of articles in the area of banking and finance including the Canada chapters of Law Business Research Ltd.’s The Acquisition and Leveraged Finance Review and The Lending and Secured Finance Review.
