Since 1992, Mtre. Biron has practised as a litigator and represented clients before the Supreme Court of Canada, all Québec and federal tribunals as well as regulatory bodies and administrative tribunals. She has also been involved in a number of arbitrations. Recognized as an outstanding counsel, she has led successfully complex proceedings from inception through trial. She focuses on commercial and corporate litigation involving M&A transactions, commercial contracts, investments, civil fraud cases, shareholder disputes and class actions. She also has considerable experience in matters of professional liability (including directors’ and officers’ liability) and in litigation involving financial institutions, injunctions and defamation. She is a skilled advocate, recognized for her strategic mind and her professional ethics, and a committed mentor to younger lawyers. She is recognized by Lexpert®, Benchmark and Best Lawyers Canada as a leading lawyer in corporate and commercial litigation. She obtained in 2017 a certificate from Laval University in corporate governance and now sits on the Board of Directors of the Fondation du TNM (which she presides) and that of the National Bank Trust Inc. She is also a member of the executive committee of the ICD (Québec Chapter).
