Abigail Turner is a partner in Harper Grey’s Health and Insurance Law Groups. She is a past Chair of Harper Grey’s articling student recruitment committee and a past Chair of the Insurance Law Practice Group. She has a busy practice assisting clients with a variety of issues arising from the practise of medicine. She deals with unusual, typically high severity claims on behalf of insurance companies. In her health practice, Abigail defends physicians in matters involving human rights complaints, hospital privileges, inquests, civil litigation, and matters involving the College of Physicians and Surgeons of British Columbia. Abigail often presents to various health care professionals on a variety of topics. She is also an avid volunteer and is very involved with Rotary International, an organization of more than 1.2 million business, professional, and community leaders, and the North Shore Stars Volleyball Club. Abigail attended law school at the University of British Columbia, obtaining her LLB degree in 1991. She subsequently completed a Master of Law degree at the University of Bristol, England in 1992. She was called to the Bar in British Columbia in 1993 and in Yukon in 2012. She is an Executive Member of the Canadian Bar Association-National Health Law Subsection.
