Appears regularly before the Federal Court of Canada, Federal Court of Appeal, the Ontario Superior Court of Justice, and the Ontario Court of Appeal. Has also appeared before the Supreme Court of Canada. Described by peers as “one of the sharpest minds for tactics and one of the best cross-examiners in Canada” (Chambers Canada) and “outstanding, one of a kind in court; constructs cogent arguments, can cross-examine with the best of them and is extremely eloquent” (Intellectual Asset Management (IAM) Patent 1000). Also provides comprehensive strategic guidance to clients regarding the development, acquisition, sale, and protection of IP and technology assets including patents, trademarks, trade dress, copyright, industrial designs, rights of personality, confidential information, and trade secrets. Has chaired and participated in conferences on IP issues and is a lecturer for the LL.M. Health Law IP course at Osgoode Hall Law School.
