Ms. Huggins, Ontario Bar (1991), is a partner with Koskie Minsky LLP and head of the firm's Employment Law Group. She has expertise in employment law, human rights, workplace harassment and discrimination for individual employees and employers, with particular expertise in anti-racism and anti-Black racism investigations and systemic/equity reviews for corporations, government and educational institutions. Ms. Huggins is a sought after speaker for the Canadian/ Ontario Bar Associations, the LSO Law Society of Ontario, Osgoode Hall Professional Development and the IF. Ms. Huggins was on the founding Board of the African Canadian Legal Clinic and formerly served on the Doctors Without Borders Human Resources Committee the federal Judicial Appointments Advisory Committee (JAAC) for the GTA. She currently sits on the Board of Women's College Hospital. Ms. Huggins has been awarded a Lexpert Zenith Award, a Women’s Law Association of Ontario President’s Award and in 2020, the Law Society Medal. In 2021, she was elected by Canadian Lawyer Magazine as one of the Top 25 Most Influential Lawyers in Human Rights, Advocacy and Criminal Law category. She has also been recognized in the area of Labour and Employment Law in The Best Lawyers in Canada for 2022.
