Dan is a highly-regarded banking and finance lawyer who leads his national and cross-border practice from Montreal. He regularly leads large, complex and innovative transactions, including cross-border financings and first-of-their-kind structures in emerging asset classes. Dan has deep technical expertise across the full spectrum of commercial financing matters, with particular strength in leveraged and acquisition financings, complex cross-border credit facilities, subscription and fund finance, asset-backed securitizations and syndicated corporate financings. He acts as trusted counsel to a broad range of clients, including prominent corporate borrowers, leading private equity sponsors, major pension fund managers and top-tier financial institutions. Dan leverages his decades of commercial finance experience in guiding these clients through their most significant and strategically important transactions with a pragmatic and commercially focused approach that delivers results. Dan is a member of our Montreal Student/Stagiaire Evaluation Committee and our Opinion Review Committee. He is co-chair of the Secured Transactions Subcommittee of the UCC Committee of the Business Law Section of the ABA and an active member in the Montreal Opinion Working Group subcommittee of the CBA.
