David is the Managing Principal at MT+Co. and leads the Business Law Group and Mergers + Acquisitions Team at the firm. Prior to founding MT+Co., he worked in the business law group of one of the nation’s largest full-service law firms. David's transactional work has involved transactions across a variety of sectors, including light and heavy industry, natural resources, infrastructure, technology, retail, hospitality and professional services. Across all these sectors and across all deal sizes, David brings a constructive and collaborative style to the negotiation process. His team focuses on the points that matter to the client and helps manage the “deal noise” around the points that don’t. David’s philosophy is that there is a practical solution to almost every issue that arises during a transaction, and strongly believes that his role as advisor is always to advance and never to hinder the deal. David has been recognized in Best Lawyers in Canada as a leader in Mergers & Acquisitions and Corporate Law since 2021.
