Emily is a principal lawyer in MT+Co.’s Business Law and Transactions Group. Before joining MT+Co., Emily practiced as an associate in the corporate group of a large national firm. Emily’s practice focuses on mergers and acquisitions, financings, and corporate and commercial law. She regularly advises buyers and sellers in asset and share deals and financing matters and is experienced in managing all aspects of a deal. Emily is passionate about helping business owners achieve their goals. She takes the time to connect with her clients and find practical and effective solutions. Emily is also passionate about giving back to the community. She has volunteered with non-profit organizations, including Lawn Summer Nights, Right to Play, Power to Be, and the Hooplaw Society. She is also a director of the Association for Corporate Growth (British Columbia) where she co-chairs the Mentorship Program and oversees the Young Professionals Committee. Emily takes pride in supporting female entrepreneurs and women in business and is focused on increasing diversity and inclusion within the M&A industry.
