Emily is a principal lawyer in MT+Co.’s Business Law Group and Mergers + Acquisitions Team. Before joining MT+Co., Emily practised as an associate in the corporate group of a large national firm. Emily’s practice focuses on mergers and acquisitions, financings, and corporate and commercial law. She regularly advises buyers and sellers in asset and share deals and financing matters and is experienced in managing all aspects of a deal – from due diligence to closing. Emily is passionate about helping business owners achieve their goals. She takes the time to connect with her clients and find practical and effective solutions. Emily is passionate about giving back to the community. She has volunteered with non-profit organizations, including Lawn Summer Nights, Right to Play, Power to Be, and the Hooplaw Society, all of which aim to harness the power of sport and physical activity to promote equality and children’s health and development. She also supports female entrepreneurs and women in business and is a director of the Association for Corporate Growth. Emily has been recognized in Best Lawyers: Ones to Watch, in the area of Mergers and Acquisitions since 2024 and was named a Lexpert Rising Star (Leading Lawyers 40 and Under) in 2025.
