Erin is a principal lawyer and civil litigator at MT+Co. She represents clients in mediations, arbitrations, and before all levels of court in British Columbia. She also advocates on behalf of clients before the BC Human Rights Tribunal and the National Energy Board. Erin assists Indigenous nations and organizations with navigating internal and external dispute resolution, including those involving the assertion of Indigenous laws; the assertion of Aboriginal rights and title; the intersection of Indigenous law and Canadian common law; the use of reserve lands, traditional territory, and natural resources by the nation, its members, and/or third parties; membership; governance; and commercial arrangements with third parties. Erin was a member of the legal team representing the plaintiff class members in class action proceedings commenced in the Federal Court against the Federal government for the discriminatory treatment of First Nations youth, which resulted in the largest class action settlement in Canadian history.
