Frank Sur is a partner in Gowling WLG, practising primarily in the areas of M&A, corporate finance, securities law, corporate commercial and energy law. He has extensive experience in public and private financings; asset purchases and divestitures; M&A of both public and private companies (plans of arrangement, going private transactions, share acquisitions, takeover bids and asset purchase and sale agreements); advising on energy production and operation-related agreements; advising on listing and exchange compliance matters and corporate governance and regulatory compliance. He has advised a wide range of North American, Asian, and European clients in various sectors, including technology, energy (including hydrogen and renewables), mining, manufacturing, real estate, emerging markets and engineering services. Fluent in Korean, he has represented a number of Korean and other Asian companies over the years, including state-owned enterprises and large investment funds. He is a member of the Inter-Pacific Bar Association and International Association of Korean Lawyers and currently sits on a number of company boards, including on boards of Canadian subsidiaries of large international companies.
