Gary is Managing Partner of the Technology, Media & Entertainment group at Bennett Jones. His practice focuses on all aspects of corporate commercial, corporate governance, and securities work for companies at all stages, from start-ups to mature public companies, with a focus on technology-based businesses. He advises on mergers & acquisitions, private and public financings (including IPOs), cyber security governance, special committee matters, shareholder arrangements, executive/employee compensation arrangements, licensing and distribution agreements, international corporate structurings, corporate reorganizations, and private equity/venture capital fund formation. Gary regularly represents US and Canadian private equity and venture capital investors and foreign buyers acquiring Canadian businesses. He is secretary of the CVCA, Canada's venture capital and private equity association. Gary was called to the Ontario Bar in 1985 and received his LLB from the University of Toronto.
