Hélène is a partner in the Employment, Labour and Executive Compensation practice at Davies in Montreal. Her diverse practice includes acting for clients before civil and administrative courts, drafting executive employment agreements and policies, negotiating collective agreements and providing guidance on corporate governance and executive compensation matters. She also advises major corporations on all aspects of Canadian employment and labour law in the context of their strategic human resource needs. Hélène also has considerable experience advising on employee-related matters in commercial transactions, such as mergers and acquisitions. She taught labour and employment law at the École du Barreau du Québec for many years. She is a guest lecturer for the MBA program at McGill University. Hélène is a fellow of the American Bar Association’s College of Labor & Employment Lawyers. On June 5, 2018, Transurban (ASX: TCL) acquired 100% of the equity interests in the A25 toll road asset and concession in Montréal, from Macquarie Infrastructure Partners. Transurban has assumed responsibility for the management and operations of the A25.
On May 1, 2018, Scotiabank announced the completion of its $950 million acquisition of Jarislowsky, Fraser Ltd. to create the third-largest Canadian active asset manager with $166 billion in assets under management (as of December 31, 2017).
