Jacob’s practice focuses on M&A and other strategic transactions as well as public company advisory matters. Jacob regularly acts for strategic and financial buyers, targets and significant shareholders on domestic and cross-border acquisition and other strategic transactions. Jacob also has experience representing special committees in connection with M&A transactions and internal investigations. Recent mandates include advising HanesBrands Inc. on its acquisition by Gildan Activewear Inc., BCE Inc. on the sale of its ownership stake in Maple Leaf Sports & Entertainment (MLSE), CC Capital on its strategic investment in The Westaim Corporation to create a new integrated insurance and asset management platform and Stonepeak in connection with its acquisition, together with Blue Wolf Capital, of Logistec Corporation.
