Joseph practices real estate law with a specialization in commercial leasing matters. He acts for several prominent Canadian and foreign owners, developers, and tenants focusing on retail, office, industrial, and specialty (e.g., solar/wind farm and credit tenant) leases. He has worked on numerous transactions that have been named “Deal of the Year” by the National Association of Office and Industrial Properties (NAIOP). Joseph has also worked on transactions that have been reported as the largest commercial lease transactions in the City of Toronto for the year in which they were completed. He is a member of the board of editors for the Retail Law Strategist (an industry publication) and has authored and co-authored several articles that have appeared in other publications. He has also co-authored the commercial leasing chapter included in the Law Society's Bar Admission Course materials. Joseph is also an active member of the Planning Committee for the law conference of the International Council of Shopping Centres (ICSC) and is a past member of the Planning Committee for Toronto's Next Generation (an association created by the ICSC to help nurture young real estate professionals).
