Kate is a Partner in the Labour & Employment Group in Toronto, representing federally and provincially regulated employers in the private and public sectors on employment standards; wrongful dismissal litigation; labour arbitrations and collective bargaining; human rights litigation and accessibility matters; and corporate transactions. Kate provides strategic and practical advice on sensitive workplace matters, workplace training, contract drafting, and policy development. She acts as an investigator on workplace discrimination and harassment matters, and speaks on workplace issues. Her clients operate in government, retail, post-secondary education, social services, communications, financial services, energy, technology, manufacturing, and consumer packaged goods. Kate is a member of the firm’s Ontario Region Student Committee and Workplace Harassment Committee, serves as a mentor, and is highly engaged in the firm’s Inclusion Now program. Kate is co-author of A Legal Guide to the Accessibility for Ontarians with Disabilities Act, 2005, by Canada Law Book. Kate received her JD from Michigan State University College of Law in 2005 and her LLB from the University of Ottawa Law School in 2006. She was called to the NY Bar in 2006 and the Ontario Bar in 2007.
