Natasha MacParland is a partner, national co-leader and Toronto leader of the Restructuring, Insolvency and Bankruptcy group. Based in Toronto, she provides counsel on insolvency and restructuring matters arising under the Companies’ Creditors Arrangement Act, the Bankruptcy and Insolvency Act and related statutory frameworks. Natasha has significant experience with complex restructurings, cross-border insolvencies, creditor rights enforcement, and transactions involving distressed businesses and assets. Recognized for her thoughtful and commercially driven approach, she regularly advises debtors, lenders, court-appointed officers, trustees, private equity sponsors and acquirers in sophisticated and high-stakes proceedings, including distressed acquisitions and sale and investment solicitation processes. Her work frequently involves multi-jurisdictional matters, and she collaborates with stakeholders across Canada, the United States, Europe and other international markets to navigate cross-border considerations, manage risk and implement effective restructuring strategies. Natasha participates in industry organizations and advisory initiatives, and contributes to teaching and thought leadership in the field.
