Nathaniel Marshall is the founder of Marshall Workplace Law and the driving force behind the firm’s workplace investigations practice. Organizations seek him out for his ability to navigate complex and sensitive matters across a range of sectors, including police services, school boards, universities, hospitals, municipalities, financial institutions, and crown corporations. He has established a national presence and is known for providing exceptional client service when managing challenging investigations. While delivering legally sound and actionable findings in high-pressure investigations, Nathaniel always ensures that his processes are culturally sensitive, trauma-informed, and capable of withstanding legal scrutiny. He is frequently retained to conduct investigations involving allegations of workplace harassment, discrimination (specifically anti-Black racism), employer-specific policy breaches, and conflicts of interests. A graduate of Dalhousie University (BA, Dean’s List, Political Science; JD), Nathaniel was an active member of the Indigenous Black & Mi’kmaq Initiative. He is called to the bar in Nova Scotia, Ontario, and Nunavut.
