Reena Goyal is a counsel in McCarthy Tétrault LLP’s Litigation group in Toronto. Reena provides advocacy and advisory services to private and public sector clients, with a focus on electricity markets and regulation. Her practice focuses on corporate commercial litigation and dispute resolution for the energy and power resources industries. Reena advocates for a variety of energy industry stakeholders, such as commercial and industrial loads, generators, transmitters, distributors, demand response aggregators, retailers and gas marketers. She also regularly provides strategic regulatory advice and direction to shareholders, acquirers, investors and developers of a variety of power generation assets including energy storage, gas, wind, solar, biomass and nuclear. She has a Master in Laws in Energy and Infrastructure Law from Osgoode Hall Law School, where she co-teaches The Law and Economics of Electricity Markets. Reena also holds a Juris Doctor from the University of Toronto Law School. She was called to the Ontario Bar in 2005.
