Steven is a partner in the Insurance and Construction & Engineering Groups at Harper Grey. His practice entails helping clients with insurance defence work involving property losses, construction deficiencies, bodily injury claims, fires, general insurance disputes, and professional negligence claims. Steve provides advice on coverage issues between insurers and insureds and represents insurers on coverage disputes with their insureds. Steve also advances subrogated claims on behalf of insurers on fire, property, and product liability claims. Some of Steven’s defence work includes: defending contractors against negligence, breach of contract and warranty claims arising out of allegedly deficient construction work, defending homeowners, business owners and commercial property owners on bodily injury claims, defending independent adjusters in errors and omissions claims arising from the adjusting of insured losses, and defending insurers on claims made by insureds following the denial of coverage. He was called to the BC Bar in 2004.
