Mr. Dobbin has extensive experience with large, multi-jurisdictional transactions and regularly provides advice to boards and their committees, often in the context of transformative transactions and challenging situations. He acted for Canadian Tire Corporation, Limited in connection with its $985-million acquisition of Helly Hansen, Barrick Gold Corporation in connection with its $7.3-billion acquisition of Equinox Minerals Limited (Lexpert's "Deal of the Year"), and for Pacific Exploration and Production Corporation in connection with its $5.2-billion restructuring (which involved court-supervised proceedings in Canada, Colombia and the United States).
